Indonesian workers abroad is an Indonesian workforce carried out by both men and women who work abroad to meet the needs of their families and the cost of children's education. The purpose of this study is to find out how the development of children left behind by parents to become Indonesian workers abroad in Pringgarata Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. To find out how parents function in educating, guiding, caring, and to find out what the impact when parents become Indonesian workers abroad on children. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method that analyzes between the findings and data obtained in the field. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data found are analyzed using descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed that in Pringgarata Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, in Indonesian workers abroad parents could not carry out the function of parents in educating, guiding and caring for children so that this function was replaced by surrogate parents.
